Jimmie Joe Fitzgerald
1942-2005
MCKENZIE: Services for Jimmie Joe Fitzgerald, 62, were held Sunday, April 3,
at 4:00 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. John
Carlock officiating. Interment followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fitzgerald, a self-employed electrician and plumber and a former employee
for BellSouth Telephone Company, died Friday, April 1 at his residence. He was a
native of Stewart County, born in Erin September 18, 1942 to the late Clyde
Fitzgerald and Virgie Norwood Fitzgerald. He was a member of the Union Grove
Baptist Church, Am-Vets and the American Legion, and a United States Marine
Corps veteran, serving from 1962-63.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Joe “Joey” Fitzgerald, Jr. and wife Shana; a
grandson; a step-granddaughter; two sisters, Carolyn Hickman of Camden and
Willie Mae Anderson of McKenzie; and special friend Donna Pate.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Coleman, and a brother, Paul
Fitzgerald.
Mary Jane Arnold Smith
1931-2005
MCKENZIE: Services for Mary Jane Arnold Smith, 73, were held Monday, April
4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev.
Vance Rushing officiating.
Mrs. Smith, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 31, at McKenzie Health Care Center
where she resided. She was a native of McKenzie.
She was born November 24, 1931, to the late Comer Kirkland Arnold and Artie Mae
Reeder Arnold. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Arnold Smith of Milan and George Smith of
Arlington; and two brothers, Billy Reeder Arnold of Lexington and Bobby Thomas
Arnold of Tacoma, Washington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Smith, and a grandchild.
Rebecca Conway Peek
1923-2005
MILAN: Graveside services for Rebecca Conway Peek, 81, formerly of Trezevant
were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, in Trezevant Cemetery with Rev.
Malcolm Norton officiating.
Mrs. Peek, retired from Henry I. Siegel and ITT, died Sunday, April 3, at NHC
Health Care Center in Milan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Trezevant.
She was born in Trezevant on July 13, 1923,to the late Robert Young Denton,Jr.
and Kathryn C. Brooks Denton. She was also preceded in death by two husbands,
L.J. Conway and Luther Peek; one brother, Charles Denton, and one sister,
Elizabeth Jarrett.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Dan Conway of Humboldt; two grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren.
Freida J. Smith
1917-2005
HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS: Graveside services for Freida J. Smith, 87, were
conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 4 at McAuley Cemetery with Brother Gary
Burk officiating.
She died Friday, April 1, at West Shores Apartments.
Survivors include one daughter, Precilla Baggio of Bloomingdale, Illinois.

Alice Fay Bush
1946-2005
PARIS: Services for Alice Fay Bush, 58, were conducted at LeDon Chapel,
Ridgeway Funeral Home, at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, with Wayne Burton
officiating. Interment followed in the Carroll County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bush, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 3, at Henry County Medical Center in
Paris.
She was born in Camden on November 20, 1946 to the late Perry T. Kee and
Harriette Birdwell Kee.
Survivors include her husband, Hulon Bush; one daughter, Sherry Williams of
Lockport, Illinois; one son, Perry A. Bush of Menasha, Wisconsin; four sisters,
Betty Tenley of Mansfield, Treva Tayloe of Paris, and Doris DePriest and
Jeanette Massey, both of Huntingdon; three brothers, Perry Kee, Jr. of Bruceton
and Jimmy Kee and Charles Kee, both of Huntingdon; and four grandchildren.
Lurene Medlin Hudson
1913-2005
BRUCETON: Services for Lurene Medlin Hudson, 91, were conducted Saturday,
April 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bruceton First United Methodist Church with Rev.
Steve Whitworth officiating. Interment followed at Post Oak Cemetery near
Camden.
Mrs. Hudson, a retired seamstress and former employee of HIS Co. Inc., died
Wednesday, March 30, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born October 22, 1913, in Holladay to the late Leonard Herman Medlin,
Sr. and Beulah Harrington Medlin. She was a member of the Bruceton United
Methodist Church, Bruceton Order of the Eastern Star Adah Chapter #314, Ladies
Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Bruceton Pitch Club. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Leburn E. Hudson.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Wilkes of Huntingdon and Diane Munson of
Greenville, South Carolina; one sister, Maudelle Jones of Camden; one brother,
L.H. Medlin, Jr. of Camden; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jordan O’Neal Wyatt
2004-2005
HUNTINGDON: Graveside services for Jordan O’Neal Wyatt, 11 months, were held
Friday, April 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Fred
Ward officiating.
Jordan died Tuesday, March 29, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born April 11, 2004 in McKenzie.
Survivors include his parents, Anthony Wyatt and Shawna Yundt, both of
Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents, David and Sherry Yundt and paternal
grandparents, Linda Kirchner and Larry Wyatt, all of Huntingdon; and paternal
great-grandmother, Joyce Whitehead of Chicago, Illinois.
Joe Harold Alexander
1933-2005
DRESDEN: Graveside services for Joe Harold Alexander, 72, were conducted at
2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, at West Union Cemetery in Dresden with Rev. Roy
Auvenshine and Rev. Gene Price officiating.
Mr. Alexander, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, March 29, at Jackson-Madison
County General Hospital.
He was born February 7, 1933, in Gleason to the late Ira Alexander and Lula
Underwood Alexander. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Alexander; a
stepson, Bruce Allen Gordon; one daughter, Vickie Marie Chappell; and one
sister, Norma Jean Perkins.
Survivors include one son, Terry Wayne Alexander of Greenfield; two stepsons,
Eric Gordon of Gleason and Michael Gordon of Revere, Massachusetts; two
daughters, Joy Lynn Alexander of Trezevant and Jamie Suzanne “Suzie” Alexander
of South Hampton, Virginia; one brother, Lendell Alexander of Dresden; one
sister, Rebecca Verdell of Gleason; 11 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
Gerald Pinson
1927-2005
LEBANON, MISSOURI: Services for Gerald Pinson, 77, formerly of Atwood, were
conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 1 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant.
Interment followed in Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood.
Mr. Pinson, a retired supervisor for General Motors/Fisher Body Division in
Chicago, died Sunday, March 27, at St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born November 27, 1927, in Carroll County to the late Claude B. Pinson
and Corrine Joyner Pinson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving
in the Korean Conflict, and attended Trezevant High School.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Little Pinson; one son, Gerald S. Pinson
of Hopedale, Illinois; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Cope of Batavia, Illinois;
three brothers, Claude B. Pinson of Atwood and Billy R. Pinson, both of Atwood
and Gray Pinson of Humboldt; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
