Martha Pauline Mattox Long
1911-2006
MCKENZIE:
Martha Pauline Mattox Long, 94, died Friday, March 10 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. Services were held Sunday, March 12, in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Long, a retired school teacher, was born March 24, 1911 to the late L.E. and Frankie Hudson Mattox. She was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy S. Long.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Putman of McKenzie; one son, Guy Mattox Long of Gainesville, Georgia; one sister, Lafonda Poland of Batesville, Mississippi; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Etta Ruth Ross
1915-2006
GLEASON:
Etta Ruth Ross, 90, died Thursday, March 9, at Dyer Nursing Home.
Services were conducted Saturday, March 11, in the chapel of Gallimore Funeral Home. Elder Loyce Fuller and Rev. Keith Sumner officiated the service. Interment followed in Old Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Ross, a homemaker, was born April 11, 1915 in Gleason to the late James Price and Sara Lunnette (Beasley) Ellis. She was a member of Old Union Primitive Baptist Church,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ross; one brother, James "Buck" Ellis; three sisters, Wilma Parker, Nell Gallimore, and Marie Ellis; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Smith of Gleason; two brothers, Bob Ellis of Paris and Ray Ellis of Hollow Rock; one sister, Lena Morgan of Paris; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

R. Lee Brown
1925-2006
MCKENZIE:
R. Lee Brown, 81, died Monday, March 6, at Oak Manor Nursing Home in McKenzie.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 9, at Greenwood Cemetery in Paris with Rev. Kervie L. Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born February 13, 1925 in Fulton, Kentucky, to the late Buck Adams and Phema Green Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Brown, and seven sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Owens and Loretta Robinson, both of McKenzie; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Charles Watson Galey
1921-2006
MCKENZIE:
Charles Watson Galey, 84, died Wednesday, March 8 ,at McKenzie Healthcare Center.
Services were conducted Friday, March 10, at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Bros. John Forgy and Jim Roberts officiated the service. Interment followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Galey, a retired ambulance driver, was born August 2, 1921, in Greenfield, to the late Homer and Grace Watson Galey. He was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Modema Galey; one son, Richard Galey; and two sisters, Ruth Hansel and Mildred Grooms.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynda (David) Hickman of McKenzie; one sister, Lousyette Vickers of Sharon; and three grandchildren, Lauren Hickman, Meagan Hickman and Chelsea Galey.
Memorials may be made to the McKenzie Church of Christ.

Wylodean Petty Thedford
1926-2006
TREZEVANT:
Wylodean Petty Thedford, 79, died Wednesday, March 8, at her residence. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 10, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment followed in Republican Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Thedford, a retired seamstress from Kellwood and retried dietician at Oak Manor Healthcare, was born October 14, 1926, in Greenfield, to the late Hamilton Petty and Flouria Jeanett Vermillion Petty. She was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church in Trezevant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernist Raymond Thedford; one son, William Howard Thedford; and one daughter, Sonya Williams.
Survivors include two sons, Pete (Wanda) Thedford of Memphis and Gary (Pam) Thedford of Huntingdon; one daughter, Patricia (Ray) Vaughn of Trezevant; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Jean Elaine Hansen
1928-2006
MCKENZIE:
Jean Elaine Hansen, 78, died Saturday, March 11, at NHC Healthcare in Milan. Services were conducted Monday, March 13, at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Father Joel Shultz officiated the service.
Mrs. Hansen was born in California on February 17, 1928 to the late John and Elizabeth O'Singer Belanger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Rimgale.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Vermillion of McKenzie and Patricia Smith of Hammond, Indiana; one step-daughter, Barbara Rimgale of Orlando, Florida; one son, Adam Rimgale, Jr. of Tucson, Arizona; two step-sons, Donald Rimgale of Chicago, Illinois and Ronald Rimgale of Mt. Juliet; one brother, Robert Belanger of California; 18 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mary Trolinger Newman
1918-2006
MCKENZIE:
Mary Trolinger Newman died Tuesday, March 7, at Oak Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services were conducted Friday, March 10, at Highland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dennis Renshaw officiating. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Newman was born in Jackson, to the late Guy Franklin and Annie C. Moore. She was a member of East Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Buddy Trolinger, and second husband, Bland Newman.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Evelyn Shuba of Sacramento, California; two sons, Raymond Trolinger of Jackson and Guy Trolinger of Indiana; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Frank Paul "Buddy" McGinnis, Sr.
1947-2006
HOLLOW ROCK:
Frank Paul "Buddy" McGinnis Sr., 58, died Friday, March 10, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 14, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Crossno officiating. Burial followed in Marlboro Cemetery near Vale.
Mr. McGinnis, owner/manager of MeGinnis Auto & Towing, was born September 28, 1947, in Marydel, Delaware to the late Bob Hewes and Bertha McGinnis.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Brown McGinnis; a son, Frank Paul McGinnis Jr. of Hollow Rock; one step-daughter, Pamela Graham of Clayton, Delaware; three step-sons, Charles Reed and Donald Reed of Clayton, Delaware and Raymond Reed of Hartly, Delaware; 13 brothers and sisters; one grandson and six step-grandchildren.

Yolanda Rocha Gammons
1957-2006
HUNTINGDON:
Yolanda Rocha Gammons, 48, died Monday, March 6, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 10, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Jones and Bro. Larry DePriest officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Arrat Cemetery in Troy.
Mrs. Gammons was born May 29, 1957. She was a homemaker and a member of Tate's Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Roger Rodriguez.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ricky L. Gammons, father Jose Angel (Ernestine) Rocha of Brownsville, Texas; mother, Zula Rodriguez of Racine, Wisconsin; three sisters, Sylvia Rocha of Racine, Wisconsin, Robin (Vince) Sabirino of Syksville, Maryland, and Vivian (Mike) Krenski of Franksville, Wisconsin; seven brothers, Joe (Ann) Rocha of Dallas, Texas; John (Lisa) Rocha of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tom (Joan) Linville of Harlingen, Texas, Larry (Anna) Linville and David Rocha, both of Brownsville, Texas, Danny (Sue) Rocha of Rutland, Massachusetts and Roger (Vicki) Rodriguez of Racking, Wisconsin. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

George Washington Donald
1933-2006
HUNTINGDON:
George Washington Donald, 73, died Friday, March 3, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 9, at Huntingdon Christian Fellowship Church. Interment followed in the Gibson County Cemetery. Revs. Robert E. Donald and Rev. John Wayne Bryant officiated the service. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. George W. Donald (The Colonel) was born in Gibson County, February 19, 1933 to Andrew and Georgia Rice Donald. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Donald, Jr., James C. Donald, and Roy Donald and three sisters, Jenny Donald, Helen Donald-Beard, and Annie Sue Donald-Harris.
He leaves seven children, Sandra (Michael) Donald-Foster of Paducah, Kentucky; Ricky Donald of Paducah, Kentucky; Don F. Donald, Lindsey Neal (Teresa)Donald of Huntingdon, Josh Donald of Lexington, Keaton Donald of Milan and Ludean Pearson of Huntingdon; one sister, Gladys (Charles) Donald-McLilley of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one brother, Rev. Robert (Melba) Donald of Saginaw, Michigan; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and step-children.

Ella Mae Pinkley
1914-2006
BRUCETON:
Ella Mae Pinkley, 91, died Monday, March 6, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 9, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Hollow Rock. Bro. Garland Broadway officiated the service.
Mrs. Pinkley was born July 6, 1914, in Benton County, to the late Homer Franklin and Anne Bell (Odom) McDaniel. She was a homemaker and a member of Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, McCall D. Pinkley, and one brother, H.F. McDaniel Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia (Orville Leslie) Price of Harrisonville, Missouri; three sisters, Nancy Woodall of Madison, Novella Jones of Nashville, and Doris Febuary of Shawneetown, Illinois; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Vincent "Cabbage" Cary
1929-2006
BRUCETON:
Vincent "Cabbage" Cary, 77, died Monday, March 6, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 10, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in Prospect Cemetery, Hollow Rock. Bro. Terry Bradshaw and Bro. Jerry Woods officiated the service.
Mr. Cary was born January 27, 1929, to the late Ether and Tessie (Hollowell) Cary. He was a retired Carman Mechanic for the CSX Railroad, a member of First Baptist Church in Bruceton and loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Cary.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Stella Cary; two daughters, Martha (Jerry) Neal of Bruceton and Barbara (James) Williams of Buena Vista; one granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Neal of Memphis; two brothers, Ed Cary of Hollow Rock and William Cary of Huntingdon; and several special nieces and nephews.
