The McKenzie Banner is publishing a special football championship section on December 11. The multi-page section will feature stories about the McKenzie-South Pittsburg championship game, including interviews, statistics, and season in review. Award-winning writer Jim Steele will write the stories for the special section. This will be Steele’s 17th state championship to write. Joel Washburn and Lance Rider will photograph the event for The Banner. This is Washburn’s fifth state football championship to cover as a photographer.
