Parkers Crossroads, TN - The Parkers
Crossroads Battlefield Association is
extending an invitation to the public to
meet children of Confederate soldier Private
Pat Walsh. The event, co-hosted with the
Colonel Thomas Alonzo Napier SCV Camp 2040
of Waverly, Tenn., is at the Parkers
Crossroads City Park Activities Building on
Saturday, November 10tth. The reception
for the Walsh family is from 10 -11 a.m.
Pvt. Pat Walsh, a member of Morton's
Battery, fought at Parkers Crossroads on
December 31, 1862. His children, Mr. Frank
Walsh, age 97, Mr. Robert Walsh, age 95, and
Mrs. Mary Kathleen (Walsh) Hatcher, age 90,
currently reside in Middle Tennessee.
Following the reception, the Walsh family
will tour the historic battlefield
site. Currently 206 acres of the core
battlefield have been preserved and
established as the Parkers Crossroads
Battlefield Park. For more information,
