MILAN (November 30) In boy’s high school basketball action, the Milan Bulldogs defeated the West Carroll War Eagles 79-63.

Milan took a 16-9 lead after the first period but were outscored by the War Eagles 19-16 in the second period and led by a narrow 32-28 margin at the half.

Milan came out firing in the third quarter, outscoring West Carroll 20-14 to lead 52-42 at the end of the third period. The Bulldogs finished the fourth quarter by outscoring West Carroll 27-21 to claim a 79-63 victory.

The Bulldogs were led offensively by David Vaughn (19), Lawrence Douglas (11), Brady Shepherd (11) and Zach Chapman (10).

West Carroll was led offensively by Thomas Greer’s strong 32-point performance. Also contributing scoring for the War Eagles was Xavier Cunningham (11).
