MCKENZIE (December 7) -
McKenzie Rebels boarded two chartered motorcoaches Friday at 9:30 a.m. to begin
the trek to the TSSAA Class 1A state
championship game. The Rebels will play
South Pittsburg Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on the
MTSU campus in Murfreesboro.
A 55-car caravan was in tow behind the buses
as the team departed McKenzie High School.
McKenzie Police Department and McKenzie Fire
Department provided the escort out of town.
Fans braved the rain to say goodbye to the
team.
Temperatures are expected to be in the
mid-50s with a good possibility of
light rain at game time.
