Paris, Tenn. The search resumed early
this morning for Dr. Mickey Carpenter,
1150 Anderson Dr., Paris, who has been
missing since Friday afternoon.
Dr. Carpenter is the Paris District
Superintendent for the United Methodist
Church. According to a press release
issued this morning by the Memphis
Conference of the church, Dr.
Carpenter's boat was discovered capsized
Friday afternoon on Bush Lake, a
private, favorite fishing spot of his at
McLemoresville.
His truck reportedly was found nearby.
According to the press release, the
search for Dr. Carpenter began early
Friday afternoon and continued until
dark. It resumed early this morning.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Department
would not release any details this
morning, so information on the scope of
the search was not available.
According to the United Methodist Church
press release, however, among the
searchers were Brownsville District
Superintendent Steve Cavitt and his wife
Teresa and Dyersburg District
Superintendent Stan Waldon and his wife
Marilyn. Bishop Dick Willis is on the
way back from Texas to the search site.
Dr. Carpenter lives in Paris with his
wife, Marsha, and their twin daughters,
Michelle and Megan.
