The annual Cancer Bake Auction is March 17-21 in McKenzie. Everyone is encouraged to get their favorite recipes ready to bake for this worthwhile event.

This year’s event is at the fellowship hall of the McKenzie Church of Christ on North Highland Drive. Organizers need the cooperation of everyone in the area to insure a great event.

Many persons will be called and asked to bake items. If you are not called, please do not let it keep you from being involved. Individuals may bake one day or every day. The more everyone bakes, bids and buys will help to reach this year’s goal. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society, Carroll North Relay for Life to help stamp out cancer in our lifetime.

The five-day event will be broadcast on WHDM 1440 AM radio beginning at 1:00 p.m. daily. Listeners may also place bids via Internet at www.whdmradio.com. Also, please feel free to come by or call 352-0167, 352-0168, or 352-0169 daily.

Each and everyone can be part of this great event by baking, bidding and buying. Items to be sold should be brought to the McKenzie Church of Christ anytime after 6:45 a.m., complete with the baker’s name and a recipe if possible. Each contribution is tax deductible and goes for a very worthwhile cause. Please mark these dates on your calendar and join the fun. Help make this a special and profitable event.
