MABLE BEATRICE POSTWOOD
1929-2008
BRUCETON: Mable Beatrice Postwood, 78, died Monday, January 8, at her home. Funeral services were Thursday, January 10, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hollingsworth officiating. Burial followed in Barren Springs Cemetery near Bruceton.
Ms. Postwood was born May 7, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Edward Crockett Walter and Serna Beatrice House Walters. She was a retired beautician and member of Barren Springs Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Dorthelia Haynes of Belleville, Illinois; and four brothers, Kenneth Walters and Charles Walters, both of Bruceton, Eugene Walters of Camden and Jay Crockett Walters of Maryville, California.

FREDA RUTH GUILL
1914-2008
MCKENZIE: Freda Ruth Guill, 93, died Tuesday, January 8, at McKenzie Health Care Center. Funeral services were Thursday, January 10, at 2 p.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with Dr. Pratt Hubbard officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Guill was born June 5, 1914 in McKenzie to the late Fred Sadler Rogers and Bessie Ruth Schrader Rogers. She was a former teacher at Christmasville and Greenhill Schools, former food service employee at McKenzie High School and Bethel College, and member of McKenzie Presbyterian Church USA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Maurice A. Guill; one sister, Hilda Baker; and one brother, John Rogers.
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret (Dirk) Brakebusch of Cordova; and two sisters, Shirley Brawner and Helen Fowler, both of McKenzie.

MAUDLEAN NORMAN
1922-2008
PARIS: Maudlean Norman, 85, died Tuesday, January 8, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris. Funeral services were Friday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Otis Hinton officiating. Burial followed in Foundry Hill Community of Christ Cemetery in Puryear.
Mrs. Norman was born April 27, 1922 in Benton, Kentucky to the late George Hendrix and Gracie Lillian Lindsey Hendrix. She worked for 22 years for Home Service Laundry in Paris, babysat children in her home for many years, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. "Buck" Norman; one son, Jimmy Franklin Norman; one sister, Mary Jo Miller; and one brother, Claude Hendrix.
Survivors include: four daughters, Kathy (Doug) Myers of Springville, Treva (Leon) Berkley of Paris, Faye Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky, and Willodean (Lonnie) Overby of Puryear; two sons, Bill (Betty) Norman of Paris and George (Kathy) Norman of Huntingdon; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

REV. AUGUSTOR HAYNES
1928-2008
MCKENZIE: Rev. Augustor Haynes, 74, died Thursday, January 10, at V.A. Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 15, at 1 p.m. at Obion District Association Building in McKenzie with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Rev. Haynes was born October 31, 1928 in McKenzie to the late John Haynes and Bessie Eiley Haynes. He was educated in the Carroll County public schools, served in the armed forced in the branch of the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He devoted his life to the ministry for over 32 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: two sisters, Martha Parks of Cleveland, Ohio and Clara Weatherford of McKenzie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Trinity Funeral Home of Paris was in charge of arrangements.

BARBARA SUE MOODY
1955-2008
YUMA: Barbara Sue Moody, 52, died Saturday, January 12, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were Monday, January 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Clint Ezell officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Moody was born December 4, 1955 in Milan. She was a department manager in the jewelry department for Wal-Mart, Inc. in Huntingdon for over 30 years and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Dewayne Cary.
Survivors include: her husband of 33 years, Tommy Moody; one daughter, Rebecca (Brad) Smith of Yuma; her mother, Bonnie Fay Cary of Yuma; one brother, David M. Cary of Yuma; and one granddaughter.

TROY RAY WOOD
1935-2008
YUMA: Troy Ray Wood, 72, died Thursday, January 10, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 12, at 1 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Halter officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Wood was born October 31, 1935 in Wildersville. He worked for Johnson Control as a Quality Tech, served eight years in the National Guard and was a member of the Scarce Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Thomas Wood.
Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Mary Wood of Yuma; his mother, Vonnie Faye Wood; two daughters, Louise (Jesse) Tucker of Huntingdon and Lisa (Jim) Garland of Henderson; one son, Marty (Janet) Wood of Yuma; four sisters, Sarah Smith, Joy Faye (Taft) Watson, Lucy (Fred) Parker, and Brenda (Wallace) Anderson; three brothers, Joe Thomas (Barbara) Wood and Rodger (Bennie Mae) Wood, both of Lexington, and Randall (Shelia) Wood of Knoxville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

RONALD DAVID BULLINGTON
1953-2008
ATWOOD: Ronald David Bullington, 54, died Thursday, January 10, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services were Sunday, January 13, at 2 p.m. at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church with Gary Wallace officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery.
Mr. Bullington, retired, was born November 15, 1953 to the late Lonnie Hurchel Bullington and Winona Mallard.
Survivors include: one daughter, Stacee Bullington of South Haven, Mississippi; and two sons, Ty Bullington of Nashville and Ryan Bullington of South Haven, Mississippi.
