CLAYBORN RAY ARNOLD
BRUCETON: Clayborn Ray Arnold, 66, died Monday, June 2, at his home. Funeral services were Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at Reeds Chapel in Lexington with Bro. Phillip Halters and Bro. Loyce Fuller officiating. Burial followed in Bible Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Arnold was a retired truck driver and a member of Bible Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Arnold; one daughter, Susan (Barry) Harrell of Milan; one son, Kenny (Angela) Arnold of Lexington; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild; six great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

CHRISTOPHER DAVID VAUGHN
1978-2008
HUNTINGDON: Christopher David Vaughn, 29, died Tuesday, June 3, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Sellers officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
Mr. Vaughn was born September 13, 1978 in Carroll County. He was an employee of Royston.
Survivors include: his parents, Richard David (Brenda) Vaughn of Lexington and Caroline (Tim) Brotherton Baker of Huntingdon; one son, Drake Alexander Vaughn, of Huntingdon; two sisters, Brittany Vaughn of Jackson and Anna Vaughn of Lexington; one brother, Clint Vaughn of Huntingdon; and paternal grandmother, Minnie Vaughn of Huntingdon.

NEVA LEE SUTTON
1917-2008
HUNTINGDON: Neva Lee Sutton, 90, of the Terry Community died Tuesday, June 3, at her home. Funeral services were Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Sellers and Bro. Tim Maness officiating. Burial followed in Carter's Chapel Cemetery .
Mrs. Sutton was born August 19, 1917 in Carroll County to the late George Fletcher and Eula Mae (Lifsey) Fletcher. She was a homemaker and a member of Obion Chapel Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tye Sutton; one son, Odie Sutton; one daughter, Geraldine Breeden; and three sisters.
Survivors include: three daughters, Phyllis Jarrett and Loretta (Brent) Smith, both of Huntingdon, and Brooxie (Bobby) Kirk of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Willodean Kelly of Chattanooga and Beatrice Bullington of Cedar Grove; one brother, Woodall Fletcher of Huntingdon; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Carter's Chapel Cemetery Fund.

BEATRICE ILEAN DOSS
1947-2008
HUNTINGDON: Beatrice Ilean Doss, 61, died Monday, June 2, at her home. Graveside services were Friday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Rodney Hardin officiating.
Mrs. Doss was born March 14, 1947 in Soux St. Marie, Michigan to the late Burdy Royce and Polly Gertrude (Jones) Royce. She was a homemaker and Baptist by belief.
Survivors include: her husband, David Doss; one daughter, Penny (Jimmy) Maxwell of Huntingdon; six sons, Jimmy Doss, Bobby (Sherry) Doss, Paul (Denise) Doss, all of Huntingdon, Curtis (Lori) Doss of Lexington, Roger (DeAngela) Doss of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Danny Doss of Auburndale, Florida; 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

BENNY BENJAMIN LEE
1947-2008
MCKENZIE: Benny Benjamin Lee, 61, died Tuesday, June 3, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services were Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Trezevant.
Mr. Lee was born November 14, 1947 in McKenzie to the late Baxter Benjamin Lee and Sadie Elizabeth Newbill Lee. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Lee.
Survivors include: two sisters, Carolyn Fuzzell and Betty Barlow, both of McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

HOO NAM CALBERT
1936-2008
TREZEVANT: Hoo Nam Calbert, 72, formerly of Memphis, died June 5 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Graveside services were Monday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Malcolm Norton officiating.
Mrs. Calbert, a homemaker, was born March 1, 1936 in Kyungnam, Korea. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Calbert.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ruth Haggart of Trezevant.
McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MARTHA OZELLA WILSON
1914-2008
HUNTINGDON: Martha Ozella Wilson, 93, died Saturday, June 7, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Halter and Bro. Johnny Boyd officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born August 27, 1914 in Huntingdon to the late John Thomas Bush and Juliet Erin (Carroll) Bush. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wilson; one brother, Glenn Bush; and one sister, Ola Boyd.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jennie Forrest; two sons, Larry (Pauline) Wilson and Bruce (Betty) Wilson, all of Huntingdon; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

EVELYN YOUNG SMYTHE
1929-2008
GLEASON: Evelyn Young Smythe, 78, died Thursday, June 5, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Sunday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Rev. Mike Jeffers officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
Mrs. Smythe, a homemaker, was born July 1, 1929 to the late Hershel Young and Doris R. Belew Young. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Smythe, and one sister, Naomi Wiley.
Survivors include: one brother, Tom Young of Kenner, Louisiana; and one sister, Pat Petty of Gleason.

BOB FRANK HAYNES
1927-2008
BRUCETON: Bob Frank Haynes, 81, died Sunday, June 1, at his home. Funeral services were Monday, June 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Long officiating. Burial followed in Tumbling Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Haynes was born January 27, 1927 in Henry to the late Sam Haynes, Sr. and Audrey Jackson Haynes. He was a welder and a WW II veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Haynes, Jr.; and two sisters, Violet Jagodzinsky and June Haynes.
Survivors include: one son, Mark Alan Haynes of Brooklyn, Connecticut; two sisters, Margarett Henry of Louisville, Kentucky and Ann Phelps of Gleason; and one grandchild.

DOROTHY ANNETTE MUSICK BAILEY
1929-2008
MEMPHIS/CHICAGO: Dorothy Annette Musick Bailey, 78, died Saturday, June 7, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. Funeral services are Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
Mrs. Bailey was born August 21, 1929 in Honaker, Virginia to the late Corbett Elexious and Ruby Fuller Musick. She was a retired buyer for Quaker Oats Company and member of Moody Bible Church of Chicago. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bailey.
Survivors include: two sisters, Lorene Charlton of McKenzie and Nadene Gent of Honaker, Virginia.

EARL WAYNE WILLIAMS
1942-2008
MILAN: Earl Wayne Williams, 65, died Thursday, June 5, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, June 7, at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Milan with Bro. Matt Moore officiating.
Mr. Williams was born July 5, 1942 in Alamo. He was a retired insurance agency owner in Milan and member of Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Curry Williams; one son, Earl Williams, Jr.; and one stepson, Michael Brasher.
Survivors include: his wife, Peggy M. Williams of Milan; his mother, Evelyn Trevathan of McKenzie; three daughters, Teresa Jakes, Pam Lawes, and Kimberley Harrison, all of Smyrna; two sons, Michael Williams of Smyrna and David Williams of Cookeville; one sister, Marie Cole of Huntingdon; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MARTHA ETHELINE POWELL
1922-2008
TREZEVANT: Martha Etheline Powell, 85, died Friday, June 6, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. John Forgy officiating. Burial followed in Locust Grove Cemetery in Bradford.
Mrs. Powell was born November 16, 1922 in Bradford to the late Allie T. Davis and Nora Jane Peevyhouse Davis. She was a retired HIS employee and homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wesley Powell; two daughters, Martha Harrington and Joyce Hill; two brothers, Horace Davis and Aubrey Davis; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, James Powell of Huntingdon; three daughters, Barbara Holt of Greenfield, Alice McDaniel and Anita Mayo, both of Gleason; 18 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

JOHN WAYNE WILLIAMS
1963-2008
BUENA VISTA: John Wayne Williams, 44, died Friday June 6, at his home. Funeral services were Sunday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Cooper officiating. Burial followed in McAuley Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born August 25,1963 in Carroll County. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Gail Williams.
Survivors include: his parents, C.B. and Ina Bell McMackins Williams of Buena Vista; one daughter, Rachel Susan Williams of Camden; and one brother, Charley Ben Williams of Buena Vista.

JAMES SINGLETON, JR.
MILAN: James Singleton, Jr., 76, died Friday, June 6, at Milan Health Care. Graveside services were Monday, June 9, at 9 a.m. at Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Singleton was born March 19, 1932 in Shelby County to the late James and Nan Booker Singleton. He was a retired boxer.

RICHARD SMITH CREWS
1920-2008
HUNTINGDON: Richard Smith Crews, 88, died Monday, June 9, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 11, at 10 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
Mr. Crews was born January 30, 1920 in Carroll County to the late Marion Richard Crews and Lonie Mae (Smith) Crews. He was a retired truck drive for Henry I. Siegel Company. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audie Marie Crews.
Survivors include: three sons, Harold (Gail) Eubanks of Huntingdon, Frankie Eubanks of Camden and Randy (Julia) Crews of Missouri; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

GEORGE KEITH TAYLOR
1958-2008
HENRY: George Keith Taylor, 49, died Friday, June 6, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services were Sunday, June 8, at 4 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with David Van Wyk officiating. Burial followed in Bevil Cemetery in Paris.
Mr. Taylor was born December 20, 1958 in Murray, Kentucky. He formerly worked for ISS Cleaning Company in Jackson and was a member of Seventh Day Adventist. He was preceded in death by his father, George Joe Taylor; and two sisters, Helen Raspberry Manning and Kathy Taylor.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Dortch Taylor of Henry; his mother, Lela Taylor Brown of Carrollton, Georgia; one son, Joseph Keith "Joey" Taylor of Henry; two sisters, Cereta Lawrence of Carrollton, Georgia and Deloris Snead of Henry; one brother, William Little of Paris; and one grandchild.

MARION E. OLDS
1930-2008
MCKENZIE: Marion E. Olds, 78, died Monday, June 9, at McKenzie Health Care Center. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mrs. Olds was born May 17, 1930 to the late U.L. and Lena Agnes Cloyd Watkins. She was retired from Sunbeam Bread Thrift Store and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Harry Olds; two sisters, Earlene Brockman and Juttie Lou Maynard; and two brothers, Johnny Watkins and Billy Ray Watkins.
Survivors include: two sisters, Eulene Walker of McKenzie and Imogene (Jimmy) Patterson of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Helen Watkins of Trezevant; two nieces, Vicky King and Patsy Watkins; and six nephews, Joe Ray Watkins, Steven Watkins, James Paul Patterson, John Earl Brockman, Kenneth Brockman and Donald Maynard.

ARCHIE RAY MCALEXANDER
1926-2008
CEDAR GROVE: Archie Ray McAlexander, 82, died Friday, June 6, at his home. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Roger Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery.
Mr. McAlexander was born April 6, 1926 in Cedar Grove. He was a retired salesman for Horizon. He was preceded in death by his wife, WillDean McAlexander; two brothers, Arvel McAlexander and Dwayne McAlexander; and one sister, Catholene Luna.
Survivors include: one daughter, Rhonda McAlexander of Bishop, California; two sons, William McAlexander of Sutherlin, Oregon, and Cliff McAlexander of Roseburg, Oregon; two sisters, Sue Kelly of Ooltewah, Tennessee, and Arlene Moody of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Albert McAlexander of Chattanooga; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church.
