MCKENZIE – Five ladies have been selected as
candidates for the McKenzie High School
Homecoming Royalty. One of the ladies will
be crowned queen on Friday, January 25 at
6:00 p.m. during pre-game ceremonies in the
high school gymnasium.
Elizabeth Russell is a 17-year-old junior
and the daughter of Marshall and Robin
Russell. She is a member of the Beta Club,
Spanish Club, Leo Club, Pep Club, FCA, and
Library Club. She is the vice president of
the junior class, an active member of the
First United Methodist Church, and a member
of the McKenzie Trap Team. She plans to
pursue a career in the medical field.
Lesley Robertson is a 17-year-old senior and
the daughter of Keith and Lori Robertson.
She is a member of Long Heights Baptist
Church, Beta Club, Library Club, FCA,
historian for the FBLA, DECA, DARE role
model, and a member of the Lady Rebel
softball team. She plans to pursue a career
as a pharmacist or major in pre-pharmacy.
Morgan Limbaugh is a 17-year-old senior and
the daughter of Kelly Kelley and Mike
Limbaugh. She is a member of the Pep Club,
FCA, DECA, M Club, and secretary of the
Library Club. Morgan is a member of the Lady
Rebels basketball team. She plans to attend
Bethel College and pursue a career in
coaching.
Sarah Owen is a 17-year-old senior and the
daughter of Clayton and Mary Owen. She is
the president of the Spanish Club,
co-president of the Pep Club, secretary of
DECA, treasurer of Student Council, a member
of the Beta Club, FCA, M-Club, and a member
of the Lady Rebels softball team. She plans
to attend UT-Knoxville and major in
chemistry.
Samantha Wheat is the 17-year-old daughter
of Sam and Lisa Wheat and Ginger Davis. She
is a member of FCA, M-Club, Pep Club, Key
Club, Library Club, DECA, and Spanish Club.
She plans to attend Austin Peay State
University or Middle Tennessee State
University on a cheerleading scholarship and
work as a staff member of the Universal
Cheerleaders Association while pursuing a
career in physical therapy and sports
medicine. |
