MCKENZIE (January 19) — In an intense battle, the Lady Jackets jumped out to a seven point lead and extended their lead to 18-11.

The Lady Rebels turned it on in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Jackets 12 to 5 at one point and tying the contest 23-all via an amazing last-second score from near the time-line by McKenzie’s Morgan Limbaugh.

The third quarter generated into a see-saw battle between the two teams with the Lady Jackets narrowly leading 40-38 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Lady Rebel Zana Carter took control of the game in the fourth to score eight points and give the Lady Rebels a one point advantage with two seconds remaining in the game.

Lady Jacket Evan Hudgins was fouled and made the first one shot but missed the second. The Lady Jackets rebounded but failed to score at the buzzer, giving the Lady Rebels a hard-fought 49-47 victory.

The leading scorers for the Lady Jackets were Taren Hatcher and Jordon Galey with 12 points each. Others scoring for the Lady Jackets were: Mallory Robertson (9 points), Katie McCall (8 points), Haley Perkins (3 points), Emily Randoff (2 points), and Jasmine Allen (1 point).

The leading scorer for the Lady Rebels was Zana Carter with 21 points. Others scoring for the Lady Rebels are as follows: Morgan Limbaugh (13 points), Mignon Salameh (10 points), Travitia Bowden and Tenishia Carey (2 points), and Evan Hudgins with (1 point).
