MCKENZIE (January 19) — Slightly fatigued following games against Central and Huntingdon, McKenzie fought but fell 50-48 in a close battle against Greenfield.

The Jackets took a 15 to 10 lead at the end of the first quarter but the Rebels battled back to tie the game 27-all at the half.

Beginning the second half, the Rebels went on a 5-0 run and led the Yellowjackets 39-36 at the end of the third quarter

The score changed often in the fourth quarter as both teams heated up offensively. The Jackets battled to the lead and held on to earn a hard-fought 50 to 48 victory.

Leading the Jackets offensively was Cody Rickets with 14 points. The following scored for the Jackets: Reggie Mchaney and Derek Laster both had 11 points, Andrew Shane (6 points), and Daniel Rickets and Chris Skinner finished with 4 points.

Shabree Payne led the Rebels with 21 points. The following Rebels also scored: Derek Carr (11 Points), Josh brown (8 points), Luke Anderson and Tyler Holt (3 points) and Hunter Herrin with 2 points.
