HUNTINGDON (January 7) - Following a stellar football season highlighted by numerous strong rushing performances, Huntingdon Mustang runningback Matt Weathers was selected as the Region 7-AA Offensive MVP.

Despite his 5’ 6”, 155-pound stature, the senior runningback ran with authority, leading the Mustang ground attack by rushing for 1,800-plus yards in the ’07 season.

Fellow Mustang Clint Everett, a solid tackler and defensive team leader, was selected as Region 7-AA Defensive MVP.

Strong, fast and dominating, Mustang Lucas Dill was selected as Region 7-AA Co-lineman of the Year.

Region 7-AA Co-Specialty Player of the Year honors was bestowed on Huntingdon’s Randy Nellet.

Mustangs named to the Region 7-AA All-Region team were: Brett Lovett (offensive line); Shawn Hicks (defensive line); Brandon Rutherford (linebacker); Ryan Parrish (linebacker); Caleb Crocker (defensive back) and Cole McAdams (quarterback).

Mustangs Jacob McClain and Matthew McMinn were honored as All-Region managers.
