McKENZIE (May 7) — Bethel University conferred 307 degrees on Saturday, May in the Crisp Arena on the McKenzie campus. Graduates were conferred degrees on the levels of Associates, Bachelors and Masters for both in-person and online students. more
ATWOOD (July 5) — National Beta members from West Carroll Elementary and West Carroll Junior Senior High school worked over the last few months to prepare for the National Beta Convention. This summer, the two schools amassed sixteen national placements. more
MARTIN (July 26) — Two Carroll County Students have been awarded scholarships to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin for the 2022-23 academic year, according to Dr. James Mantooth, executive director, Office of Enrollment Services and Student Engagement.  more

McKENZIE — One sure sign football season is near is when numerous middle school teams gather at Rebel Stadium on the first Saturday in August for the Annual Middle School Jamboree. This year’s event is August 6 starting at 4 p.m. Similar to last year, there will be two games going simultaneously on each end of the field. more
MARTIN (July 18) — Several Carroll County students were awarded scholarships to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin for the 2023-24 academic year, according to Dr. James Mantooth, executive director, Office of Enrollment Services and Student Engagement. Some students awarded are incoming freshmen, and some are returning students. more

Nikolas Heath of McKenzie is one of the two interns from the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) selected by L.I. Smith & Associates (LIS) for the summer term. The interns will learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining hands-on experience in their chosen fields of study. more
