McKENZIE (April 4) — One hundred-thirteen students were honored during the 38th annual Honors Banquet hosted by the Rotary Club of McKenzie. The students, grades 9 to 12, were seated at floor level at the McKenzie High School Gymnasium while their parents and friends were seated on the home side in the bleachers. more

NASHVILLE (January 2024) — Unemployment rates in the tri-counties of Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties decreased from November to December 2023. The latest labor force estimate from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development indicates the tri-counties’ overall employment has improved. more
TENNESSEE — Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen 6.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.06/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 22.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 8.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 1.3 cents in the last week and stands at $4.02 per gallon. more
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Education released the 2021-22 Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) district-level reports July 6. The results include Fall 2021 end-of-course exams (EOCs) and Spring 2022 exams in English language arts (ELA), mathematics, science and social studies. more
