For Carroll County, the most intense action took place on Friday with severe storms in the morning and dangerously high winds throughout the day, knocking out power to roughly 6,456 Carroll County Electric Department (CCED) customers. more

CARROLL COUNTY — The annual $10 wheel tax to fund the local share for the construction of Lake Halford, previously known as the Carroll County 1000-Acre Lake, ends December 31. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency purchased the lake for approximately $11 million on July 1, 2022 from the quasi-governmental agency known as the Carroll County Watershed Authority. more

HUNTINGDON — An ongoing, proactive joint drug investigation by special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Huntingdon Police Department, and 24th Judicial Drug Task Force has resulted in the seizure of drugs, drug paraphernalia, a weapon, as well as the arrest of two individuals in Carroll County. more

Am I the only one confused here... I thought the Supreme Court ruled some time ago this “forgiving” government loans to college students was not legal, proper or allowed. I breathed a sigh of relief.
