CHATTANOOGA (December 1) — On Friday afternoon, the McKenzie Rebels made their fourth appearance in the BlueCross Bowl. After claiming the championship in 2022, the Rebels fell short 14-7 to the South Pittsburg Pirates on Friday after a hard fought game that was scoreless until the third quarter when a Jake Cassidy touchdown put the Rebels on the board. This was the third meeting of the two programs all of which have gone in favor of the Pirates. more

HUNTINGDON (April 10) — During Monday’s April meeting of the Carroll County Commission, the legislative body was addressed by Lori Dillahunty representing the Carroll County Inclusion Park. Dillahunty spoke passionately about the need and the advantages of constructing the park. Through Resolution 4-06-2023, the county pledged $400,000 of American Rescue Plan Act Funds. The estimated cost of construction is between $725,000 and $750,000. more
