Fourth Annual Tour de Paws, Saturday, September 9
— A bicycle fun ride that supports the Carroll County Humane Society will be held in McKenzie. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the ride starts at 8 a.m. in McKenzie City Park at 570 Como Street. Riders will travel through Carroll and Henry counties in Tennessee and Calloway County, Kentucky. Ride lengths include 20-, 32-, 64and 100-mile rides. Pet Memorial Luminaria Ceremony, Sunday, September 10 — The Carroll County Humane Society will be hosting a memorial ceremony at 7 p.m. in observance of National Pet Memorial Day. CCHS will be offering luminaries for $5 each to honor pets past and present. These are available at the shelter location during business hours: 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. You can also purchase your luminary via PayPal.me/cchstn. Programs will be distributed at the luminary lighting with the names of pets being honored or memorialized. Light refreshments will be served.

Pawsta Party, Saturday, September 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Carroll Bank & Trust Community Room in Huntingdon — Join us for a pawsta bar of spaghetti or fettuccine with options of red sauce or alfredo along with meat and veggie options. Salad, bread, dessert and drinks are included. Cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child. We have the opportunity to raise matching funds for a grant from Tennessee Spay/Neuter Coalition. If we raise $1000, they match us $1000. This grant will fund spay and neuter surgeries for community-owned dogs and cats. Please come out and help us meet this goal so that we can receive this grant.
The Barnes-Ervin Reunion is Saturday, September 9 at Henry Civic Center, 11 to 3;00 p.m. The meal will be add a dish. Family is expected, friends are welcome.

MCKENZIE REBELS BOYS BASKETBALL FIFTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
McKenzie Rebels Boys Basketball Fifth Annual Golf Tournament at Carroll Lake Golf Course is Saturday, September 23. Teetime for the event is 8 a.m. Cost is $200 per team. First place prize is $200. The event includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, and a chance to meet the 2017-18 Rebel Boys Basketball Team! $100 hole sponsorship with other sponsorship opportunities including prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. MCKENZIE FFA FIRST BLAST OUT HUNGER
On Saturday, September 16, McKenzie FFA will present its first Blast Out Hunger to benefit Second Harvest and Hunters for the Hungry at Carroll County Shooting Sports Park located at 680 McAdoo Park on Cemetery Lane in Huntingdon. Price to participate is $50 per shooter or $250 per five-person team. At 9:30 a.m., 12 teams will start followed by the start of 12 additional teams at 1 p.m. The multiple discipline shoot features 25 trap 25 skeet and 50 sporting clays. Trophies will be given to Cream of the Crop shooters (top three in each division) for women, men and team. Also featured is a pistol side match (Advisor category also) with fourperson team, 40 rounds-$10 per shooter (ammunition is provided). Those seeking help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend are welcome to begin attending at any point.
