CARROLL COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Ground Broken for 21st Home Build
HUNTINGDON (September 28) — Habitat for Humanity-Carroll County broke ground at McKendree Lane for its 21st house with construction to start on Saturday, October 21 at 8 a.m.
The house, upon completion, will be sold to Ann Park and her daughter, Lynn.
Ann Park and her daughter, Lynn, will be assisting with the construction of their new home. A contributor to Habitat for Humanity- Carroll County program for three years, Ann has accumulated over 100 hours of sweat equity in helping to construct other Habitat homes, working at the Habitat Home Store and attending homeownership classes.
In addition, Ann has also paid money into the program to pay for her first years homeowners insurance, property tax and closing costs.
Habitat for Humanity-Carroll County’s Annual Gala on October 19 at the Carroll County Civic Center will help raise funds for the construction of Ann’s home.
