Drug Violations — A Trezevant man was arrested November 30. Deputy Scotty Davis charged Jonathan Norden, 40, with possession of schedule II with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Davis’ report, Scott Walls spoke with deputies about Norden. Walls said Norden was staying at his home and that he had found a glass pipe, scales, and a bag of methamphetamine on the table one day. He gave deputies written consent to search the home. Norden, who had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court, was home when deputies executed the search. He told deputies he did not want them to search a drawer he had his belongings in. Deputies found a bag of methamphetamine weighing 3.2 grams, scales, and two glass pipes.
Thef t — A Huntingdon man was arrested November 25. Deputy Jackie Edwards charged Jazz Johnson, 29, of 322 Benton St with theft under $1,000. According to deputy reports, deputies were called to Atwood Dollar General after two men stole several items. The theft was captured on store security footage. The manager saw the two men in the video get in a vehicle going toward McKenzie. Deputies found the vehicle matching the description and stopped the car. During the traffic stop, Johnson admitted to taking the items.
