Violation of Order — A Cedar Grove man is facing charges of violation of order granting bail. Sergeant Lee Bates charged Mason Storm Baker, 26, of 382 Griggs Chapel Rd with violation of order granting bail, and a temporary order of protection was also issued against Baker. According to Bates’ report, Baker was arrested for assaulting his wife in February. Baker was ordered to have no contact with her, but made several calls to her.
Violation of Registration
— A Memphis man was cited into court March 1. Deputy Ethan Parham charged Curtis Anderson, 24, with violation of financial responsibility and violation of registration. According to Parham’s report, Anderson was pulled over while driving in McKenzie due to the vehicle he was driving having expired registration. Anderson’s cousin, Marvetta Betts told deputies she had purchased the vehicle a year ago and tried to get the registration from the previous owners, but hadn’t been able to.
Theft — Deputies are investigating a case of theft. Paula Painter of Cedar Grove reported to deputies on March 1 that her stepson, Cody Weaver, 18, had taken approximately $200 in coins and three Nintendo games, which he sold to Nerdvana in Jackson.
