McKENZIE (June 10) — Approximately 50 children attended a community Vacation Bible School event hosted by area churches.

It was an event to bring together the community’s children, regardless of race, to learn about Christ, have fun, and enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs.

Churches participating were: Blooming Grove United Methodist Church, Greater Enon Baptist Church, Friendly Church of God, First United Methodist Church, Liberty UMC, and Johnson Temple C.M.E.

The children enjoyed fun activities, including the viewing of the inside of an ambulance, supplied by Carroll County EMS and an impromptu slash pad, thanks to water from a fire apparatus supplied by McKenzie Fire Department.

The children ranged in age from four years to high school.
