BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. — Two McKenzians attended the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Criminal Justice Academy in Bell Buckle, Tenn. during the week of June 25-29.
Brooklyn Gaylord and Ed Dudley were two of 17 total participants from a field of over 600 applicants for the program.
The training involved mock trials, crime scene scenarios, meth lab invasions, interviewing techniques and in-depth information about various professionals within the TBI.
Gaylord, a senior at Bethel University majoring in Criminal Justice, said the experience was life-changing and increased her passion to enter the profession of criminal justice.
Dudley is a senior at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Criminal Justice.
