City Council to Update Beer Ordinance, Make Contributions
McKenzie City Council convenes Thursday, February 9, 6:00 p.m. at City Hall to update one ordinance and to make contributions to non-profit organizations. The following are the items on the agenda: Update on the bids to purchase turnout gear for the Fire Department Update on the repair of the ladder truck for McKenzie Fire Department First reading of Ordinance No. 507 “An Ordinance of the City of McKenzie, Tennessee, making changes to Chapter 2, of Title 8, of the McKenzie Municipal Code” as it pertains to TCA 57-5-101, changing the definition of beer to be of alcohol content of not more than eight percent by weight. The State of Tennessee has changed the definition of beer to be of alcohol content of not more than eight percent by weight.
