Alexia Allen Raises Money for Suicide Prevention
Pictured are Miss Fall Fest Iris Teen Alexia Allen and Ms. Regina Alred, Supervisor of Instruction at the West Carroll Special School District. Alexia is a 17-year old senior at West Carroll Junior-Senior School and the daughter of Brad and Melissa Allen. Alexia was recently crowned Miss Fall Fest Iris Teen. She chose to raise money and awareness for the Jason Foundation to aid this nonprofit organization in its quest to educate all students and teachers in suicide awareness and prevention. With the help of West Carroll students, administrators, and faculty, she collected $323.67.
Alexia Allen is an honor student, and her 3.9 GPA continues to be recognized on the Principal’s List. Her academic honors, awards, and activities include the following: Editor of the yearbook staff; president of Art Club and art award; Secretary of Beta Club; senior class reporter, chairman of the local chapter of the Jeans for Jason Fundraiser; Girls State delegate; economics award; All-American Cheerleader recognition for three years.
Alexia was crowned Miss Fairest of the Fair and was a hostess at numerous events at the recent Carroll County Fair in September. Along with participating in pageants, Alexia stays very busy volunteering at her school and at Harmony Hills Assisted Living. She is a dedicated, ambitious young lady who looks forward to attending college and earning a degree in pediatric nursing.
