County Commission to Make Appointments
HUNTINGDON — Carroll County commissioners convene April 9 at 7 p.m. with the following items on the agenda: *resolution to appoint Eli Ford, Don Reed, Casey Drewry, Carl Nolen, and Bradley Smith to the Carroll County Board of Equalization for a term ending April 2020.
* resolution to require county Board of Equalization members and County Board Hearing officers to complete annual continuing education classes.
*resolution to appoint Manuel Crossno to the Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals and Carroll County Regional Planning Commission with a term ending April 2021.
*resolution to appoint Brad Hurley to the Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals and Carroll County Regional Planning Commission with a term ending April 2022.
*recognize John Cole of Huntingdon for being honored with the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.
*resolution to retiring county deputy Lee Bates to keep his service weapon. He is retiring after 19 years of service and relocating to South Carolina, where he has accepted a position as a pastor of a church.
*resolution to accept $30,228 from the Carroll County Emergency Communications District (911 Board) to complete the funding for the purchase of digital radios in McKenzie and Huntingdon, the final two emergency service agencies to receive funding for digital twoway communications radios.
