McKenzie (June 13) — After 15-months of service as the executive director of the McKenzie Industrial Development Board (IDB), Frank Tate has resigned from his current position. Tate will leave McKenzie to assume the same position on Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Industrial Development Board in Clarksville, Tenn.
Tate presented his resignation to the McKenzie IDB Tuesday evening during its regular meeting.
Tate said, “Working with the City of McKenzie Mayor and Council along with the community leaders has been great. Each individual has a vision to better this community. That was one of the biggest challenges to making a decision, knowing that everyone in McKenzie strives to do so much for the quality of life and betterment of each citizen.”
Since taking the helm of the McKenzie IDB, he was brought a fresh approach to improving McKenzie. In his tenure, McKenzie has hosted job fairs and candidate forums, along with the upcoming TVA training for local officials. McKenzie is the lone municipality of Carroll County to possess a certified industrial site.
Monica Heath will continue to serve as the administrative assistant and assume the day-to-day duties for the McKenzie IDB while the executive committee looks for Tate’s replacement.
