McKenzie Police Department Receives First Aid Kits

McKENZIE — McKenzie Police Department received 22 packs with emergency medical supplies recently from the Watch 7 Healthcare Coalition.

Justin Cook, vice-chair of Watch 7, presented the packs to MPD officers Sergeant Andy Weaver, Assistant Chief Richard Sawyers, and Investigator Jasmin Burgess. Cook is the director of Carrol County Ambulance Service, based in McKenzie.

One kit will be placed in each of the 22 officers’ patrol cars and ready for use in an emergency. Most times, the police are on the scene prior to the arrival of EMS crews.

Cook said his staff can provide training class to the officers in the near future.
