Lady Rebels are District 13A Runner-Up, Advance to Regionals
Bilger Named Offensive Player Of the Year

MARTIN (October 3-5) — The McKenzie Lady Rebel soccer team are the District 13A Runner- Up following a strong tournament performance. Several players received district honors.
The team defeated Gibson County, 4-1, on Tuesday. Maggie Aird had a hat trick (three goals), while Hannah Bilger scored another. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham recorded five saves.
Thursday, the Lady Rebels faced Martin-Westview in the championship contest (the first such appearance for the program), and fell, 7-3, in a hardfought match. Allie Chappell and Bailee Christman each scored a goal, and the third was off of a Lady Charger player. Bilger had one assist. Dillingham had eleven saves.
Following the game, the All-District and All-Tournament teams were named.
McKenzie players named to the All-District team were Hannah Bilger, Maggie Aird, Allie Chappell and Bailey Nelson.
The All-Tournament team included Lady Rebels Bilger, Aird, Chappell and Libby Oakley.
Bilger was named the District 13A Offensive Player of the Year.
The team advances to the regional tournament in Memphis, beginning Tuesday, October 17.
