McKENZIE (April 2) — The McKenzie Rebel soccer team hosted Milan for a nondistrict contest Monday. The Rebels earned their first win of the young season, besting the Bulldogs, 5-1.

Rebel Francisco Padilla scored three goals, and Nikolas Heath netted a pair. Goalkeeper Martin Perez had five saves, and Jack Fry had two.

Thursday, the Rebels traveled to Trenton to face the Peabody Golden Tide, falling 3-1 in the non-disrict match. Zack Flippin scored the lone McKenzie goal, and goalkeeper Martin Perez had 15 saves.

The Rebels travel to Dyersburg Tuesday and play at 6:30 p.m.
