Mc Kenzie, TNMcKenzie, Tenn. - A memorial service for Bobby Joe Hargrove, Sr., age 84, is Wednesday, January 9, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 5:00.m. -7:00 p.m. Reverend Dennis Trull and Eugene Whitt will officiate the service.
Mr. Hargrove, is a retired insurance salesman and a member of First Baptist Church. He died January 7, 2019 at Christian Care Center in McKenzie.
Mr. Hargrove was born May 3, 1934 in Pillowville, Tenn. to Robert and Nora Ellen Tolley Hargrove. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Virginia (Jenny) Bunn and Thelma Hargrove Earls, and three brothers, Ole James Hargrove, Buel Hargrove, and Thermon Hargrove.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years Diane Murphy Hargrove of McKenzie, a daughter, Dr. Lisa Hargrove Norris and her husband, Chuck of McKenzie, a son, Bobby Joe Hargrove, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Jackson, two grandsons, Tyler C. Norris and Murphy (Randi) Norris and three great-grandchildren Mia, Aiden and Ashton.
