The U.T. Carroll County Extension Office is conducting an Advanced Master Beef Course in Huntingdon. Dates for the class are Feb. 11, Feb. 21, Feb. 25, Feb. 26, Feb. 28 and March 4 beginning at 6 p.m.
Classes meet at the Extension Office at the Carroll County Office Complex 625 High Street, Huntingdon. Cost for the course is $100.00. To be eligible for the 50 percent TAEP Cost share for 2019-2020, you must have taken the Advanced Master Beef Course after January 2016.
Subjects to be covered include the following: TAEP Program, Herd Health, Reproduction, Genetics, Marketing and Seasonality of Prices, Forage Testing and Analysis, Weed Control, Nutrition, Trailer Safety and Hauling Requirements, BQA Training and a tour of CMR Processing in Bruceton.
