DUI — A Huntingdon man was arrested during a April 6 traffic stop on Maytown Road.
Eric J. Parker, 48, of 333 Myrtle Drive was charged with DUI (second offense), driving on a revoked license (sixth offense), and habitual motor vehicle offender. According to the report by Deputy Cody Walker, he pulled over a silver Nissan Maxima driven by Parker at around 1:05 a.m. because the car’s tag was not illuminated. While speaking with Parker, Walker observed that Parker’s speech was slurred, and he could detect a strong odor of alcohol coming from Parker. A computer check showed that Parker’s driver’s license was revoked for a prior DUI conviction. Walker had Parker perform field sobriety tests, and Parker performed poorly on all of them. When asked if he had been drinking, Parker said that “he was drinking a beer on his way to work.” After getting Parker’s consent to search the vehicle, Walker found a quarter full bottle of brandy and a half full can of beer. Parker agreed to take a Breathalyzer test, which showed Parker’s blood-alcohol level to be above legal limits.
Drugs, False Information — A Trezevant woman was arrested April 2 on drug and other charges.
According to the police report, an agent with the 24th District Drug Task Force observed a man and a woman spray painting a Ford Ranger in the parking lot of a bank in Atwood at around 11:55 p.m. The agent spoke with the two, and when asked, the woman proved the agent with false information about her name and date of birth. While searching the vehicle, the agent found documentation revealing the woman’s identification as Deborah Diana Moody, 55, of 4805 Big Buck Road. The agent also found a substance the field tested positive for methamphetamine inside a small plastic bag.
Harassment, Vandalism — A Trezevant man was arrested April 7 for allegedly threatening another Trezevant man and causing damage to church property.

Andrew Knight, 25, of 1040 Mill Road was charged with harassment and vandalism under $1,000. According to the report by Deputy Jason Walker, Michael Conley called the Sheriff’s Department and reported that Knight had been calling him and threatening physical harm regarding an incident that happened earlier that morning. Conley told deputies that Knight had parked his vehicle behind Republican Grove Baptist Church, had gotten stuck, and had caused ruts trying to get his vehicle out. Conley said he observed Knight finally get his truck free and drive away. Conley stated that later that day, Knight’s girlfriend came to his home and gave him a check for $100 to go toward the church offering. Conley said that Knight then called him multiple times, threatening to do physical harm to Conley if he cashed the check. The next morning on April 8, Deputy Walker was patrolling and observed that windows had been busted out in the back of the church. It was also reported that Knight called Conley’s home again that morning and talked to his wife in a threatening manner.
Theft — The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the recent theft of farm equipment from private property near McKenzie.
According to the report, an old cultivator valued at $300 and a hay rake valued at $700, both belonging to James Terry Connell, were stolen from a barn on Hinkledale Road some time during the past week. Deputies found tracks in the driveway leading up to the property.
Public Intoxication — A Huntingdon man was arrested April 10 at his residence.
Mark O. Reed, 40, of 155 Miller Road was charged with public intoxication. According to the report by Deputy Cody Walker, he went to Reed’s residence after receiving a call stating that Reed was out of the hospital and back at home. Walker found Reed face down on the ground beside the house. Reed told Walker that the FBI and TBI were after him. Reed also told Walker that he had recently been smoking methamphetamine. Reed was transported to the Carroll County Jail.
