Warrant — A McKenzie man was arrested on an active warrant May 24 at his residence.
Zachary Edward English, 28, of 17035 Highland Drive was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, he went to the residence to serve a probation violation warrant against another person. While speaking with Roxanne Young, who was at the residence, Adams spotted English walking into a garage. Knowing that there was a warrant out for English, Adams took him into custody and transported him to the Carroll County Jail. Adams noted that English also had a court order prohibiting him from having any contact with Young.
Aggravated Assault — A Huntingdon man was arrested May 27 for allegedly threatening a woman with a firearm.
Dallas Brent Baker, 29, of 420 Thompson Road was charged with aggravated assault. According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, the Sheriff’s Department received a call from a relative of victim, Brianna Pugh, also of 420 Thompson Road. The relative said that Pugh had called her and told her that she and Baker had gotten into an argument and that Baker had pointed a loaded handgun at her head with her two children standing about five feet behind her. Pugh told the relative that Baker had made her and her two children leave the house and had then locked them out, after which they walked over to a neighbor’s house. When Sevarns arrived at the scene, he found Pugh and children in the driveway of the neighbor’s house. Pugh and the children confirmed that Baker had pointed a gun at Pugh. Sevarns drove Pugh back to her residence, where the deputy had to use a crowbar to pry open a locked door in order to enter. While searching the home, the deputy found a large revolver on a nightstand in a bedroom.
