According to the report by Deputy Ethan Parham, Deputy Dennis Adkins attempted to serve a Weakley County warrant on Dunning, but Dunning fled from the deputy on a bicycle and then on foot. Walker found Fullington and his vehicle at the railroad crossing at Wingo Circle. Walker reported that Fullington had slurred speech and he wasn’t making any sense. Timothy Story, 42, of 22475 State Route 114 was charged with simple assault. According to the report by Deputy Dennis Adkins, Story approached his wife, Paula Story, outside the courthouse asking her to talk and then asking her to get into a vehicle with him. When she refused to get into the vehicle, Mr. Story allegedly grabbed the sunglasses off her face and threw them on the ground, breaking them, and then he grabbed his wife and tried to drag her into the vehicle. She managed to break free and fled into the courthouse.
Theft — Deputies are investigating the recent theft of several items, including two firearms, from private property in McKenzie.
According to the report by Deputy Eric Sawyers, he went to 4903 Highway 436 on June 19 and spoke with Clay Dillahunty, who said that someone had taken numerous items from his barn. Dillahunty said that a Polaris Ranger valued at $5,000, a Remington 1100 12-gauge shotgun valued at $500, a 22-LR rifle valued at $200, and numerous hand tools valued at $500 had been stolen. Sawyers observed that the lock had been cut off the cable at the road and found tire tracks that appeared to have been made by a truck pulling a trailer, as well as tracks inside the barn that appeared to have been made by someone wearing cowboy boots. A witness told Sawyers that a light colored dually pickup truck pulling a trailer had pulled into that address on June 18 at around 8 p.m.
