Animal at Large — A Lavinia man was cited into court August 20. Deputy Frank McGee charged Barry Don Moore, 29, of 2674 Highway 220 with having an animal running at large. According to McGee’s report, Moore’s neighbor reported that Moore’s dog bit her daughter’s finger and her son’s service dog, drawing a small amount of blood on the dog.

Driving on Suspended — A Hollow Rock man was cited into court August 20. Deputy Dennis Adkins charged Dallas Brooks Kennedy, 19, with driving on suspended #1. According to Adkins, deputies received information that Kennedy had warrants for his arrest out of Madison County and was driving a Silver Nissan on Highway 70. Deputies performed a traffic stop on Kennedy. Adkins confirmed the warrant and that Kennedy’s license was suspended.

Theft — Deputies are investigating a case of theft. Kenneth Nelson of Trezevant reported to deputies on August 20 that someone cut the lock off of his house while he was at the hospital and entered, stealing his Stihl MS170 chainsaw.

Vandalism — Authorities are investigating a case of vandalism. Drake Whitworth reported to deputies on August 19 that Mixie Missionary Baptist Church in Hollow Rock had been broken into. Nothing was stolen, but a door frame was damaged.

Fraud — Deputies are investigating a case of fraud. Misty Pierce reported to deputies that someone had cashed two checks drawn on her account without her consent. On August 16 a bank in Alton, Illinois cashed two checks made out to Keith Eaton in the amounts of $1,350.00 and $1,450.00.
