Multiple Violations — A Cedar Grove man and a McKenzie woman were arrested August 24.
Deputy Michael Krause charged Randy Collins, 36, of 7924 Highway 104 and Melanie Ann Herbert, 28, of 2001 Cedar Street, with drug/narcotic, drug equipment, and weapon law violations. According to Krause’s report, Collins and Herbert were pulled over in a traffic stop due to the knowledge of an active arrest warrant for Collins in Carroll County. Upon searching the vehicle during the course of the arrest, deputies found the following: a combined total of 17.1 grams of methamphetamine, unidentified pills, a glass pipe, $1,144.00 in cash, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia, a 9MM firearm, and ammunition.
Driving on Suspended — A Huntingdon man was arrested on August 28.
Deputy Scotty Davis charged Steven Gerald Kosik, 28, with driving on suspended license. According to Davis, Kosik was the driver of a vehicle sitting in the parking lot of Buena Vista Fire Department. Deputy Davis made contact with Mr. Kosik, who was the driver, along with his wife. A computer check verified that Kosik’s drivers license was suspended for failure to appear in Henry County court dating back to 2012, Kosik also has two prior driving on suspended charges in Carroll County with the last offense date of August 28, 2016.
Burglary — Deputies are investigating a case of burglary.
David Anthony Walker of Westport reported to deputies on August 30 that his residence was broken into. According to the report, multiple firearms were stolen from the home, and damage to the property totaled $1100.00.
Motor Vehicle Theft — Deputies are investigating a case of motor vehicle theft.
Latasha Dawn Burrough, of Yuma, reported to deputies on August 24 that her 2002 Silver Ford Taurus was stolen from her residence. Burroughs stated she heard a noise outside. When she went outside, she noticed the car was gone.
Theft — Deputies are investigating a case of theft.
Wendell Patrick Deel, of Hollow Rock, reported to deputies on August 25 that he had left his wallet inside his car the night before, and when he went out to get it, it was missing. Mr. Deel stated his driver’s license and other personal identification cards were inside the stolen wallet.
