Humphreys County — The body of a missing Cedar Grove man was recovered Sunday from the Buffalo River near the Humphreys-Perry County line.
The 53-year-old deceased man is listed as Roger Balentine.
Rescue squads were called to a farm on Seed Tick Road Sunday afternoon on a report that a Carroll County man had gone missing while canoeing.
Wintesses said a man and woman were canoeing on the river in southern Humphreys Co. when the canoe overturned and the man was retrieving items from the canoe.
Rescue squads from both Perry and Humphreys counties, along with deputies from both counties, assisted in the search and recovery.
