Fillies Stifle Lady War Eagles, 6-0

HUNTINGDON (April 16) — The Huntingdon Fillies hosted the West Carroll Lady War Eagles Tuesday for a District 11A softball contest. Huntingdon scored in each of the first four frames en route to a 6-0 shutout.
The Fillies scored a run in the bottom of the first, three in the second and one in both the third and fourth innings.
Huntingdon’s Kaci Fuller was 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored. Alli Jones was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Leah Hayes was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Kenadie Gibson was 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Kelsey Hayes was 1-for-3 with a walk. Ryleigh Bailey was 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

West Carroll’s Alyssa Butler was 1-for-2 with a double. Sadie Martin and Alexis Houston were each 1-for-3. Tatym Keymon was 0-for-0 with a walk.
Adyn Swenson earned the win for the Fillies, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven and walking one in six innings. Caitlin Kreuziger pitched the final inning, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out three and walking none.
Shelby Brown took the complete-game loss for the Lady War Eagles, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out seven and walking two in six innings.
