Fillies Top Lady Lions, 7-3

HUNTINGDON (March 25) — The Huntingdon High School Fillies hosted Trinity Christian Academy Monday for a non-district softball contest. The Fillies played well on both sides of the ball to earn a 7-3 victory.
Huntingdon scored a pair in the bottom of the first, one in the second and two in the third. Trinity got on the board with a pair in the top of the fourth and added one in the fifth. The Fillies answered with a run in home half, then added another in the sixth.
Huntingdon’s Leah Hayes was 2-for-4 with a home run. Kaci Fuller was 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Kelsey Hayes was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Alli Jones and Lydia Lutz were each 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. Rylee Holladay was 2-for-3. Kenadie Gibson was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Ryleigh Bailey was 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Caitlin Kreuziger got the start for the Fillies, allowing two earned runs on two hits while striking out five and walking four in three innings. Adyn Swenson pitched the final four frames, allowing one unearned run on one hit while striking out seven and walking one.
