HUNTINGDON — Mr. Gaylon Monroe Eskew, 85, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Ed Long officiated the service. Interment followed in the Twin Oaks Community Cemetery.
Mr. Eskew was born April 13, 1934 in Cedar Grove to the late George Everett Eskew and Florance Wiles.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Eskew, one grandson, Randall Eskew, four brothers, George Eskew, Darrell Eskew, Wayne Eskew, Justin Eskew, three sisters, Virgie McMinn, Jane Callison, and Joyce Crider.
He is survived by his wife of ten years, Ruth Eleanor Eskew, one daughter, Barbara Weinmann of Trezevant, two sons, Martin Van Eskew of Humboldt, Quent Eskew (Vickie) of Huntingdon, two step sons, Terry Davis (Carrie), Gary Davis (Helen) both of Huntingdon, two sisters, Mildred Walls of Knoxville, and Jewell Simpson of Huntingdon. He also leaves eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Chase Funeral Home had charge of services.
