McKENZIE — Funeral service for Mr. Kenneth J. Beasley is Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt – McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Internment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, Tenn.

Mr. Beasley, age 72, died May 16, 2019 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born June 17, 1946 in McKenzie to Marvin and Bethel Burkman Beasley. He is a 1964 graduate of McKenzie High School and a licensed general contractor until he retired in 2017. He built and remodeled hundreds of homes in McKenzie and the surrounding area. He liked his walls, and the pictures on them, to be straight.

He leaves as his legacy three children Stacy (David) Gaither, Stefanie (Philip) Prater and Patrick (Ashley) Little, four grandchildren Kenlee Carlton, Olivia Prater, Morgan Little and Reed Little, three siblings Phillip Beasley, Sue Barker and Joyce McConnell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his best friend and wife of twenty-five years, Margaret Snead Beasley. Also preceding him in death were his parents and four brothers Robert Beasley, Allen Beasley, Wray Beasley and Morris Beasley.
