Mrs. Lula Mae Melton, 80, of Lexington, Tennessee died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Yuma. Interment was in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mrs. Melton was born May 5, 1938 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Labron Parker and Robena (Rivers) Parker. She united in marriage to Paul Melton, who preceded her in death. To this union six children was born.  She worked at Johnny Shiloh’s and Deena’ Restaurant. 
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Jerry Parker, Dwight Melton, Ricky Melton, all of Lexington, three daughters, Gail Melton of Wildersville, Pamela Melton, Rena Thomas both of Lexington, two brothers, James Parker, Tony Hart, two sisters, Surrenda (Stanley) Ross, Peggy Hart, all of Wildersville.  She also leaves ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and a special caretaker, Mindy Bryant. Chase Funeral Home had charge of services.
