Mac Buckley

Mr. Thomas Mac Buckley, 94, died Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden.
Funeral service are Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 2 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, Martin. Burial with military honors will follow in Gardner Cemetery in Martin.
Mr. Buckley was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gray Buckley; parents, Atkins Buckley and Nettie McWherter Buckley; brothers, Bill Buckley and Joe Buckley; step-mother, Gertrue McGehee.
Mr. Buckley was a retired educator.  He was the former principal of Martin High School and was elected Weakley County Superintendent.  He was also a principal at McKenzie Special School District.
He is survived by his children, Barry (Pam) Buckley of Fayetteville, TN and Charlotte (Michael) Cooper of Sharon; three grandchildren, Zac Buckley, Eli (Jessica) Buckley and Luke (Caroline) Buckley; six great-grandchildren; his siblings, Larry (Barbara) Buckley, Nancy (Larry) Gaylord and Wanda Wodarski.
