Multiple Traffic Charges — Friday afternoon, June 7, Patrolman Dalton Raspberry observed a vehicle sitting behind Subway on Highland Drive. The vehicle moved to the front of Dollar General by the time Raspberry got turned around. Raspberry observed a male driver at that point.
According to a report filed by officer Jeff Lowden, he and Raspberry waited for the occupants to come out and a female driver took over the wheel. A traffic stop was initiated after the tags were found to be expired and did not belong to the vehicle they were on. The female driver, Pamela Gunnels of McKenzie, was found to be driving on a suspended license and could not show proof of financial responsibility. She was cited into General Sessions Court for Driving on a Suspended License-First Offense and Violation of Financial Responsibility Law.
