Multiple Traffic Charges — Friday afternoon, June 7, Patrolman Dalton Raspberry observed a vehicle sitting behind Subway on Highland Drive. The vehicle moved to the front of Dollar General by the time Raspberry got turned around. Raspberry observed a male driver at that point.
According to a report filed by officer Jeff Lowden, he and Raspberry waited for the occupants to come out and a female driver took over the wheel. A traffic stop was initiated after the tags were found to be expired and did not belong to the vehicle they were on. The female driver, Pamela Gunnels of McKenzie, was found to be driving on a suspended license and could not show proof of financial responsibility. She was cited into General Sessions Court for Driving on a Suspended License-First Offense and Violation of Financial Responsibility Law.

The male passenger, Scottie Campbell of Milan, admitted to being the earlier driver and was found to be driving on a suspended license. A computer check revealed multiple priors and Campbell was arrested and charged with Driving on a Suspended License-Sixth Offense and Unlawful Removal of Registration Plates and transported to the Carroll County Jail.
Theft — Officer Jeff Lowden responded to a call from Little General, Monday, June 3, regarding a video of an individual stealing merchandise from the store. Lowden spoke with the store manager who advised she had video of a man stealing three packages of pills. Lowden interviewed other employees who confirmed the theft. One identified the man as Dwarry Yarbrough of McKenzie and the other was the cashier who witnessed the theft and asked Yarbrough to put the pills back. He denied having them.
According to Lowden’s report, he cited Yarbrough into General Sessions Court based on the video and the three employee witnesses. He was also served with a ban notice from Little General.
