Domestic Assault — Two officers responded to a Main Street residence last Monday, June 17 regarding a possible domestic assault. Sylvia Haberland of McKenzie told officers that she took Whitney Gregory’s car to drop her son Brett Haberland off to work. Haberland is Gregory’s boyfriend and all three live together. Haberland advised when she returned, Gregory told Ms. Haberland she wanted her out of their lives and that she was leaving tonight.
According to the report filed by Dalton Raspberry, Gregory pushed Ms. Haberland several times. Gregory left the residence and requested a couple of joggers call the police. Gregory was arrested for Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Domestic Assault — On Friday night, June 21, Mr. Luis Hernandez of McKenzie came to the Police Department and told officers he thought he might have a charge against him but wasn’t sure what it was.
According to the report filed by Mark Boaz, Officer Jeff Lowden checked and advised that Hernandez did have an active domestic assault warrant and had the procedure explained to him. Hernandez was cooperative as he was arrested for Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Domestic Assault — Officer Jeremiah Brooks was dispatched to a McClure Street residence in regards to a possible domestic assault on Thursday, June 20. According to Brook’s report, he spoke with Shimira Haynes who advised that her nephew Austin Taylor assaulted her during an argument. Other witnesses advised that Taylor assaulted her first. Taylor was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.

Aggravated Assault/False Imprisonment — McKenzie police received a tip regarding a wanted person staying in McKenzie on Tuesday, June 18. Officers made contact with Randy Crocker of McKenzie at a Tennessee Street residence. Crocker had two active warrants for Aggravated Assault and False Imprisonment out of Weakley County. While waiting for Weakley County deputies, a four-wheeler was found in the back yard that had been reported stolen. Crocker was taken into custody by Weakley County authorities.
Driving On Suspended/Revoked License — Officer Jeff Winberry initiated a traffic stop on Forrest Avenue Saturday, June 22, after observing a vehicle speeding. The driver, Jessica C. Williams of Mansfield, was found to be driving on a revoked license due to a DUI conviction. She was arrested and charged with Driving on Revoked License-First Offense and cited for speeding and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Criminal Trespass — According to a report filed by Officer Trey Boucher, Lisa Spranger of McKenzie advised on Thursday, that Jennifer Vanwetter came to their residence and wanted her charged with trespassing. Vanwetter had been charged before for trespassing. She was cited into General Sessions Court for Criminal Trespassing.
Failure To Appear — On Tuesday night, June 18, Officer Mark Boaz observed Lloyd J. Sawyer in Casey’s General Story while fueling his patrol car and made a dispatch inquiry and learned Sawyer was wanted for Failure To Appear and cited into General Sessions Court.
Failure To Appear — Officer Kyle Beauchamp initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and learned that the vehicle’s passenger, Terri Powell, of Bradford was wanted for Failure to Appear and Worthless Checks. Powell was cited into Weakley County General Sessions while the unidentified driver was cited into McKenzie City Court for speeding and an expired license.
