McKenzie’s 150th Birthday-Carroll Arts to Host Heritage Arts Festival

Posted

In conjunction with the City of McKenzie’s 150th birthday celebration, Carroll Arts will host the Heritage Arts Festival on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at downtown Veterans Park.
This event was rescheduled from June 8 due to the threat of severe weather.
Local artisans will display handmade arts and crafts, and there will be demonstrations and activities.

There will be assorted old-time games in the park, including checkers, cornhole and horseshoes, and there will be other children’s art activities.
Local artists will display their drawings, paintings, basketry, blacksmithing, metalwork, cross-stitch and quilts in Connie’s Place, where there will also be an old-fashioned ice cream social.
The McKenzie Timeline will be available for additional pictures and stories from years past. Please do not bring original pictures as they can’t be returned. Have pictures and stories duplicated or written on cards no larger than 4x6.
There will be live entertainment in the gazebo from 2-4 p.m.
