JACKSON (July 29) — After a week of events and competitions, the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant culminated on Saturday, July 29, with the crowning of Miss Lane College Volunteer Jada Brown as the 2024 Miss Tennessee Volunteer. Several women represented Carroll County in the pageant and made their own impacts on the competition.
McKenzie native Emma Martin was Miss Fall Fest Volunteer, Bethel University student Gracelyn Eaves was Miss Tipton County Volunteer, and Bethel University alum Kameshia Moxley was Miss Bethel University Volunteer.
The pageant consisted of 36 contestants, broken into three groups. Each group competed in talent, swimsuit, and evening wear rounds on rotating nights.
Wednesday night, Gracelyn Eaves was the Lifestyle & Fitness preliminary winner. Thursday night, Emma Martin and Kameshia Moxley were members of the first four-way tie in Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant history in the Lifestyle & Fitness preliminary round.
Saturday night, the women walked the stage one last time before judges made the first round of cuts, announcing the top 16. Then the top 12. Then top ten. The judges announced the final five contestants before finally crowning Miss Lane College, Jada Brown.
Gracelyn Eaves made the top ten contestants, and Emma Martin made the top twelve.
The Miss Tennessee Volunteer preliminary pageant season begins in August. Miss Paris Volunteer is September 2, Miss UT Martin Volunteer is September 10, Miss Iris Festival and Miss Weakley County are October 28, and Miss Bethel University and Miss Carroll County Volunteer are November 18. Dates and titles are subject to change, and more dates are to be announced. The next Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant is July 24-27, 2024 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.
