Stephen Brown, a lifelong McKenzie native and CSX engineer, had the recent honor of working the CSX Santa Train, which runs through parts of Kentucky, Virgina, and Tennessee along the Appalachian Trail. In its 81st year, the Santa Train carried approximately 13 tons of supplies to those along the 110-mile route, consisting of toys, food, wrapping paper, and stuffed backpacks. The train embarked on its 10-hour journey beginning in Pikeville, Kentucky and ending in Kingsport, Tenn.
